Release Notes

Thank you for downloading SWAT, the Ultimate Counter-Terrorism Modification for UT. We've spent a lot of time working on this project, so we hope that everyone who downloads it will enjoy it! However, there are some important issues we must discuss.

First off, to play on the Internet, you must have the following lines installed in your UnrealTournament.ini file:

ServerPackages=s_SWATModels
ServerPackages=s_SWAT

Your UnrealTournament.ini file is located in C:\UnrealTournament\System\ by default. Make sure those two lines are in there (if not, add them to the Server Packages list), and you will have no problem playing online.

It is also necesary that you have the newest version of Unreal Tournament (currently 420). We recommend you download it, if you haven't already. SWAT has not been tested with versions of UT below 413. However if you are on a Macintosh or Linux based machine, use 413, as that is the newest release.

Finally, if you have any questions, feel free to contact us on our messageboard, or even better on our IRC channel. Our IRC Channel is also available on our website by clicking the Chat link. If you wish you can also use a standard IRC client, such as mIRC. The server is irc.gamesnet.net and the channel is #swat.
