| UTILITY: This package was built with UT2K4VoicePackager by Paul Catalano (www.xgxlan.com/vp) |
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------+

TO INSTALL (MANUALLY):
Place the .u and .int files in the System directory of Unreal Tournament 2004.
For use on a server, add the following lines to the UT2004.ini file found in
 the System directory of Unreal Tournament 2004, under the section [Engine.GameEngine]:
ServerPackages=NaliCow_UT2K4

TO INSTALL (UT4MOD):
Running the UT4MOD file will install the files into their correct locations.
Choose the "Modify UT2004.ini" option to automatically add the line
ServerPackages=NaliCow_UT2K4 to the UT2004.ini file.
If the UT4MOD file will not run (a problem with the file type association),
the command is: X:\PATH_TO_UT2004\System\Setup.exe install PATH_TO_UT4MOD

Remember those Nali Warcows from the Game of the Year Edition of Unreal Tournament '99? I wouldn't be surprised if you said "no". Well, they were interesting little bi-pedal creatures with big guns from the planet of Na-Pali, the location of the very first Unreal game. They also didn't speak much commonspeak, preferring to grunt, moo, and groink at teammates and enemies alike. And that's what this voice pack is all about!

Yeah, "moo". Which roughly translated, means a number of things in commonspeak, as it turns out! At least that's the direction I went with this voice pack. Rather than do as I did with the Half-Life Zombie Voice Pack, I took into consideration that orders and responses were translated into normal commonspeak (aside from the occasional "moo") in Unreal Tournament '99. I figured this was done because of the gizmos hooked up to the Warcows which provided and gave translations to and from commonspeak. As such, all orders, responses, etc. etc. are translated both for users of the voice pack AND in the text box. Clever, huh?

As an added bonus, this voice pack comes fully equipped with "species type" injury and jump sounds! If you'd like to use them, simply add the following lines to the Default Properties of any "species" UnrealScript:

	MaleVoice="NaliCow_UT2K4.NaliCow_UT2K4"
	FemaleVoice="NaliCow_UT2K4.NaliCow_UT2K4"
	MaleSoundGroup="NaliCow_UT2K4.NaliCowPawn"
	FemaleSoundGroup="NaliCow_UT2K4.NaliCowPawn"

Once the code is compiled, your character will now grunt and moo when injured or killed as well as make jump-jet noises when jumping or dodging! Yes, jump-jet noises. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense for most models, but this WAS largely intended to be used with Jason "Bitter Pill" Cecrle's "Nali Cow" models. (Sue me. I like my warcows. ;P)
