Author's Notes (The Important Stuff)
------------------------------------

CTF-LeftAlive is a completely asymetrical map, but one which is as balanced as it could possibly be.

This map supports up to 30 players. Playing with 4-6 or 16-20 players is somewhat chaotic, but fun if you want something different. The map supports these ranges reasonably well. Over 20 players is insane, and is really too much. 8-10 is the recommended playercount but 6-14 is good too. 2 players doesn't work very well. Also, playing this map with Instagib is pretty fun, especially in combination with lowgrav.

I strongly recommend turning on one or more of the following when playing this map: translocator, lowgrav, quadjump.

I recommend World Detail set to high if your computer can stand it, but if it can't, lowering the World Detail level gets rid of most unnecessary visual detail. However, I've noticed that lowering character detail and Dynamic LOD makes a bigger difference to FPS.

This map was tested with bots on all skill levels. Bots are generally strong but they aren't programmed to use their translocator and dodging possibilities to the extent that humans can.

I am IceCreamYou. I am a map reviewer at http://insite.beyondunreal.com/. I have
been mapping on one version or another of UnrealEd since 2000, but this is my first
publically released map. I truly appreciate any feedback you may have, which you
can email to ice@icecreamyou.com.

http://www.icecreamyou.com/ is my website. I am attempting to put together a
complete repository of tutorials on UnrealEd 3 which guide new mappers from complete
novices to advanced level designers. However, it is a highly ambitious project and so any
help is always welcome.
