DungeonMaster--A class-based, medieval fantasy mod for Rune

How to get started
=========================================================================================

intallation:

just unzip dungeonmaster.u, and dungeonmaster.int to your \rune\system\ directory.  when 
you first start a game of dungeonmaster, a dungeonmaster.ini file will be created in your
rune\system\ directory as well.

setup:
start a multiplayer game(choose the dungeonmaster gametype under the gametype rolldown
menu), go to the console, and type the following:

set input <key> nextspecial
set input <key> prevspecial
set input <key> specialability
set input <key> viewstatistics

replace <key> with the key you wish to use for that function.  next/prevspecial is used to
cycle through the special abilities of the character you choose.  specialability is the 
key you will use to fire or activate the selected spell or ability.  viewstatistics will
tell you information about your character, like current hitpoints, magicpoints, weapon,
etc(you will have to open the console to see all of your statistics).

How to play

before starting or joining a dungeonmaster server, go to the multipayer menu, then go to
the player menu, and choose one of the following under "class":

barbarian
------------------------------
hit points: 100
runepower points: n/a(cannot use or pick up runepower)
special abilities: rage(similar to bloodlust rune)
starting weapons: barbarian's axe(20 damage, can only be used by barbarian)
                  dagger(7 damage)
starting shield: none
other notes: faster than Rune characters, no speed penalty when in combat mode

cleric
------------------------------
hit points: 85
runepower points: 75
special abilities: heal-self spell(gives back 50 hitpoints, takes 15 runepower points)
                   heal-group spell(gives all characters in a certain radius 50 hitpoints,
                   takes 25 runepower points)
starting weapon: mace(10 damage)
starting shield: small shield
other notes: recovers runepower slowly

fighter
------------------------------
hit points: 100
runepower points: 25
special abilities: none at this time
starting weapons: long sword(15 damage)
                  dagger(7 damage)
starting shield: small shield
other notes: faster than Rune characters, no speed penalty when in combat mode

mage
------------------------------
hit points: 50
runepower points: 100
special abilities: fireball spell(20 damage, sets target on fire, takes 10 runepower 
                   points to cast)
                   blaze spell(30 damage to all targets within a certain radius, sets
                   targets on fire, takes 50 runepower points to cast)
                   lightning storm spell(10 damage every frame for 3 seconds or until target
                   dies, hits 3 targets simultaneously, takes 75 runepower to cast)
                   poison cloud spell(10 damage every frame until cloud disappears or target
                   dies, takes 10 runepower to cast)
starting weapon: dagger(7 damage)
starting shield: none
other notes: recovers runepower slightly faster than cleric

thief(this character needs A LOT of work...)

hit points: 65
runepower points: n/a(cannot use or pick up runepower)
special abilities: hide in shadows(not completely finished yet...)
starting weapons: shortsword(10 damage)
                  dagger(7 damage)
starting shield: none
other notes: makes no footstep sound, 50% faster than normal Rune characters, jumps 15% 
             higher than normal, easier to control in air

you may also choose other classes, but you always spawn as one of the above classes.  this
may change in the future...

after choosing a character class, just join or host as normal!  choose dungeonmaster under
the gametype menu for deathmatch, or dungeonmaster team game for team-based play.

Other Notes
=======================================================================================
the classes may be a little unbalanced, and there may be bugs, but the mod is very
playable, and above all, it's very fun!  servers should encourage players to work as a 
team, as this was the whole purpose of the mod in the first place.  i forget who 
mentioned this first on the runegame forums, but thorapproach is a good starting map for
coop play.  i will have a special-made map pack for dungeon master soon!
